What an experience! How are you dealing with it today? Are you still living in the past or have you figured out the lesson those experiences taught you. There is a lesson to every troubling experience. Have you figured out your purpose? I know many people who have lived very troubled lives and then moved on to help people who are going through similar situations.

I remember when I was 14 and I was freshly new to this foster family, I already had 3 other foster families values bestowed in my head, and now I had another family telling me this was the right way. I finally snapped and I was running away on a regular basis. finally leaving for good. most of the time before I just drank to forget about all the turmoil.

Hi Diane,

I identify with doing odd jobs. That is something I often do especially before leaving town. I just posted another blog and will have a few before I'm done. Thanks for commenting.

Hi Gayle,

Great posts about handling stress. I wish my daughter could have seen these before finals week in December. I'll be sending her the link.

I DO tend to stress MYSELF out. When I am getting ready to go somewhere, I tend to start doing all kinds of little odd jobs "just to tidy up a bit" before I leave: make the bed, load the dishwasher, sweep, etc.. It's almost like I do these things on purpose to make SURE I'm late. I drive myself crazy...but I'm getting a little bit better about it. Thanks for all of the info and tips!
